How do I choose a new password on the reset page?
When arriving from your email reset link, the cryptographic security token is automatically validated. Enter your new password twice (minimum 8 characters with letters and numbers) and click [Update Password].
- Token validation is automatic upon opening the link.
- Once reset, previous sessions on other devices are automatically revoked for safety.
- Enforces strong cryptographic hashing (bcrypt) to protect student and financial data.
Completing Password Reset Step-by-Step
Follow these verification steps on the /reset-password screen:
Verify Token Authenticity
URL Parameter: ?token=...The page automatically detects the security token in the URL parameter. If valid, the input fields activate.
Enter New Strong Password
Input: New PasswordType your new password with at least 8 characters, including a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
Confirm Password Match
Input: Confirm PasswordRe-enter the exact same password in the confirmation box to ensure there are no unintended typos.
Save & Log In
Button: Save New PasswordClick [Save New Password]. You will see a green success message and be redirected to /login.

Q:What if the page says 'Token expired'?
Reset tokens expire in 15 minutes. Please return to /forgot-password to request a fresh link.
Q:Does changing my password log out other devices?
Yes, for security, all existing sessions on other browsers or phones are invalidated immediately upon password change.
Q:Can I use my previous password?
For your security, we recommend choosing a completely new password that you haven't used previously.
